SIGNS CHECKLIST

What has happened, what is happening, what is still to come.

Always back to the source. Every sign on this page carries its verse, the date if there is one, a short account of what happened, and an honest label for how widely that reading is held. Where Christians disagree, the disagreement is shown beside the item, not hidden under it. The futurist, pre-tribulation timeline is the organizing view here, and it is labelled as one view. One rule governs the whole page: Jesus said no one knows the day or the hour (Matthew 24:36). This page tracks signs. It does not set dates, and it never will.

A check mark means the event happened; it does not mean every tradition agrees the verse was about it. Open any row to see how the traditions read it and where the claim comes from.

How to read the marks. A filled check is an event with a date behind it. A dot is something still unfolding, with an as-of note inside the row. An open circle is still to come on every futurist reading. The consensus label is about the reading, not the event: the desert really did bloom, and it is still fair to say Isaiah 35 may not be about tractors.

Four days before the cross, on the Mount of Olives, the disciples asked when the Temple would fall and what the sign of His coming would be. Matthew, Mark and Luke each recorded the answer. Read across a row to see where they agree and where one Gospel carries a detail the others do not.

THE FIG TREE

The fig tree and the generation math.

The most quoted verse in modern prophecy teaching, and the one that has produced the most dates. Here is the verse, the argument that the fig tree is Israel, the four readings of this generation, and the arithmetic that followed 1948, with what happened to each sum.

Listed as a warning, not as mockery. Some of these people loved the Lord and read their Bibles more than most of us. The record is here because Scripture itself gives the test, and because the next confident date will sound exactly like the last one.

Daniel and Revelation use a small set of spans that all describe the same seven years. These are the only durations the text supplies. Everything else on a prophecy chart is inference.

Why 360. The equivalence of 1,260 days, 42 months and three and a half years only works on a 360-day prophetic year, which is why futurist charts use it. Whether those days are literal or symbolic is exactly the question that divides the schools listed above, and this page does not settle it.
